Maximuscle Thermobol Review

Maximuscle Thermobol is a British fat burner that claims to be able to give you a “leaner, more defined body faster than almost anything else you have tried.” It is apparently designed both for muscle performance as well as weight loss and claims to be completely safe.

While the Thermobol fat burner formula certainly contains a potent dose of thermogenics, it is doubtful that it would feel “safe” for most people to take due to a very high concentration of stimulants in the recommended dose. If you have a strong heart and have already been exercising regularly, then it could give you an edge, but it definitely doesn’t appear to be a great “starter” for most dieters.

Ingredients in Maximuscle Thermobol

Each dose of Maximuscle Thermobol, to be taken three times daily, contains the following:

  • Bitter Orange Peel (Citrus Aurantium) – 325 mg
  • L-Tyrosine – 300 mg
  • Caffeine – 153 mg
  • Chromium RDA (From Chromium picolinate) – 83 µg
  • Green Tea extract(90% polyphenols) – 100 mg
  • Capsaicin extract (Cayenne pepper) – 120 µg
  • Guarana seed power – 12 mg
  • Bioperine (Black pepper extract) – 5 mg
  • Vit B12 – Cyanocobalamin RDA – 20,000% 200 µg
  • Vit-B1 (Thiamin Hcl) RDA – 1786% – 25 mg
  • Vit B5 (D-Calcium Pantothenate) RDA – 500% – 30 mg
  • D-Biotin RDA -117% 180 µg

First of all, this is a pretty massive dose of bitter orange, though they don’t disclose how much synephrine this accounts for. Synephrine is a common replacement for ephedrine with fewer side effects but it can still be very unpleasant in very large doses, especially when coupled with the caffeine here.  Frankly, the dosage for the rest of the herbal ingredients, especially capsaicin, are just too low to cause any noticeable effect.  The B vitamins may be good for those who are deficient, but these unnecessarily high doses aren’t proven to promote weight loss.

Maximuscle Thermobol Side Effects

Some users have reported the side effects of Maximuscle Thermobol to be “a nightmare”, probably due to a very strong concentration of stimulants. 459 mg of caffeine a day isn’t really a smart idea even for someone who is used to using caffeine regularly.  That’s 4.5 cups of coffee a day plus the strength of synephrine!  This may cause:

  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Anxiety/Panic
  • Rapid heart beat
  • High blood pressure

You should also be very careful about using this fat burner if you are diabetic as large doses of chromium can alter your blood sugar levels.  You shouldn’t take Maximuscle Thermobol if you are under 18, pregnant, nursing or if you have a history of cardiovascular disease.

Does Maximuscle Thermobol offer a Money-back Guarantee?

One of the great things about Maximuscle Thermobol and other Maximuscle products is that they come with a true satisfaction guarantee. If you don’t like the results you can return Thermobol within 40 days for a refund, less shipping charges.  The big downside if you are buying it from the US is that after you pay $15 plus to have it shipped, if you decide to ship it back, you’ll be short on time and will end up eating that $30 in shipping costs.

Then of course, there is the price, which is inflated because of a rather painful exchange rate between the pound and the dollar. Even though its priced at 37 pounds, remember that’s almost $60 plus shipping.

Final Thoughts

Maximuscle Thermobol is definitely one of the strongest fat burner formulas we’ve seen in terms of stimulant dosage, but often simply taking a ton of caffeine isn’t the healthiest way to go about weight loss, especially if you’re looking to keep the weight off when you’re done using the fat burner. It’s not a bad product if you’re healthy enough to stand the side effects, but for $75 (if you’re buying in the US) it isn’t the best value for a fat burner by any means.
