ViaCore Nutrition’s ThermoPrime AC/CORE Burn Review

CORE Burn is a weight loss supplement from ViaCore Nutrition that used to be called ‘ThermoPrime AC’ but has been renamed along with many other products that ViaCore sells.  We’re not sure why ViaCore decided to bail on the old product line, we found many missing or dead webpages for products that no longer exist.  These types of finds always make us nervous, especially when the name and packaging has changed, but everything in the bottle is pretty much the same.  What is the motivation to change the name and label of a product?  Bad Reputation?

Unfortunately, we also found problems with the new CORE Burn formula.   The information on the new website page for the reformulated product is extremely brief, with very little information.   In fact, the website wins the prize for the least amount of information available that we have ever seen.  There are claims that the product will  burn fat, control appetite, and enhance energy.  When spending hard-earned dollars on a weight loss supplement, we need more than a one sentence explanation as to why and how the product will deliver.

Ingredients In ThermoPrime AC/CORE Burn

The official site mentions that “this synergistic fat burning matrix also contains 3 powerful antioxidants including Acai Berry, Pomegranate, and Green Tea.”  If the company stuck with the ThermoPrime AC formula and only added these new ingredients, then you’re getting  a proprietary Blend (1100 mg) that looks something like this:

• Glucomannan (konjac root)  - fiber supplement which soaks up stomach fluids to promote satiety

• Hoodia Gordonii Powder – a specific extract from this plant may suppress appetite

• Garcinia Cambogia (50% Hydroxycitric Acid) – in large doses, HCA may suppress appetite

• Phaseolus Vulgaris Extract – in the right dose, may prevent some dietary carbohydrates from being digested/absorbed

• N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine – non-essential amino acid

• 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) – may promote healthy levels of serotonin and melatonin for better mental health and sleep.

Proprietary blends are almost always cause for concern.  The first four ingredients listed are basically ineffective if given in dosages of less than 1000 mg each. We do not know how many milligrams of each ingredient we will receive in each dose of CORE Burn, so we are uncertain how effective the product will be as far as weight loss and appetite suppression go.  The last two ingredients do nothing to support weight loss or fat burning.

With the addition of Green Tea, Acai Berry, and Pomegranate, you will be getting extra antioxidants, but a lack of antioxidants is not what keeps us from losing weight.

Final Thoughts

While CORE Burn is in-expensive for a weight loss supplement (selling for $26 per one month supply), the company may be saving money on production costs by skimping on ingredients. The product may be mostly fillers and inexpensive ingredients laced with a little more effective ingredient, which would definitely not lead to the road of success in the weight loss department.  We would suggest that you move on to more promising prospects.
